Prize Totals

Ok – that isn’t quite accurate. From registration fees and other revenue that we generate from this venture, we have to pay our credit card processing fees first (about 5%). The remaining money is split, more or less evenly, between our prize pool and repaying the original investors.

Of the portion that goes toward funding the prize pool, half of that goes directly into the Grand Prize! The other half is distributed across the other nine hunt prizes. This distribution is weighted so that the first prize, which you can find from the comfort of your own home, grows very slowly. The later prizes, which require a bit more sweat equity to secure, rise at faster rates.

We also have some secret incentives built in as well. If we reach enough registered members before a certain prize is found, that prize gets some bonus funding!

The bottom line: The more people participate, the more fun this will be for everyone and the larger all of the prizes will be. So get the word out and help us make this hunt amazing for everyone! …and help us fund our next, even more epic odyssey!
